Forest Walk
This was our first 16mm project, and we went out into the woods to collect twigs, branches, flowers, and anything we found interesting. While making the phytogram, we kept the collected materials on a strip of 16mm film and shone a torch across it in a dark room. The result was what you see above.
Direct Animation on Film Strip: A Splash of Colours (Group Project)
This was a group project in which each of us took some clear leader and painted, scratched, and wrote on it. Some of us pasted stencils, stickers, and glitters, while others smeared the strip with poster colours and nail polish. After this process of direct animation, we scanned the film and uploaded it digitally.
Photochemical Glimpses
This was the first 16mm spool given to us. I went and filmed random stuff in and around our university campus.
Filming with the Arriflex
These are production stills of a group sound-sync exercise with the Arriflex film camera. We set up sound, camera, lights, and captured sound and video separately.
